Reminder of what music will NOT be played

We are not interested in playing "popular" music that everyone already knows. While that doesn't mean that we won't play any BB King or Patsy Cline, it does mean that familiarity is not an attribute we're particularly interested in. It also means that we won't go out of our way to play some popular song that is "sad", particularly if it was a hit. Good examples of those songs might be "Wreaking Ball" by Ciley Myrus or "Falling" by Harry Styles or "Emotions" by the Bee Gees or "Happier" by Ed Sheeran or God forbid "It's My Party and I'll Cry if I Want to". WE WILL NOT BE PLAYING ANY OF THOSE FUCKING SONGS! Ok?

Please accept the rules and understand that this may not be a typical party playlist. 

No Eagles. 

No Beatles. 

No Michael Jackson. 

No New Wave, period. New Wave doesn't make any sense, right? Please don't request any.  

No Euro Pop music. 

No Billy Ocean. No Billy Idol. No Billy Joel. No Billie Eilish. 

Yes Billy Price. Google Billy Price if you don't know his music yet. You should. 

Yes Billy Walker. That's some proper Cryin' Ass Country if you don't know what Cryin' Ass Country music is.

Questions to ask yourself when you suggest a title

• "Is this a great example of Blues, or Cryin' Ass Country or Fado?"
• "Is this a truly great track that many people may not already know?"
• "Does this music make me want to drink wine and tell stories?" 
• "What track(s) should be removed?"
